The Maine Osteopathic Association, The Maine Chapter of the Academy of Osteopathic Family Physicians & the Maine Osteopathic Educational Foundation have partnered to assist in easing the financial burden for medical residents seeking to certify in AOBFP & become part of the community of osteopathic family physicians in Maine.
MOA/ME ACOFP/MOEF will award grants reimbursing certification expenses to third-year residents in osteopathically recognized programs who are planning to sit for the AOBFP written exam (cognitive) and the OMT Performance Exam (practical). Grants of $1,400 are expected, but will constitute reimbursement of expenses for certification fees and travel following appropriate documentation of expenses.
Take both AOBFP initial written and practical exam (Early Entry or Standard Pathways are acceptable)
Submit proof of payment of certification fees and travel expense report form
Do not receive financial support from your residency program sufficient to cover the cost of the AOBFP exam and travel
Submit completed W9 Form
